My daughter who is in grade 4 has been wanting to learn the violin for about two years now. But, you have to be in grade 4 to start the beginner lessons. This year she is finally able to participate but because she is left handed we thought this may not be possible. Well today she had a meeting with the violin teacher. She told her that she is left handed and wondered if that would be a problem. The teacher informed her that although she doesn’t have any left handed violins, she has taught left handed students in the past so she can’t see this as being a problem. So this is great news for Kara, not so great for me and my ears. Just kidding. I can’t wait for her to start playing and for me to be able to start going to her concerts.

For the past seven years, I was employed as an assistant manager, waitress and cook at a very busy restaurant. Although I have no formal training in cooking, I enjoyed my job very much. But due to reasons beyond my control, I had to leave my place of employment. Now that it’s September and the kids are back in school, I’ve been thinking about taking some courses in the culinary arts. I have found an amazing site over at http://www.orlandoculinary.com/ where I can obtain all the necessary skills I need to become a success in this field.
I have discovered while visiting this site, that I would be able to learn all their is to know about the culinary arts, hospitality or restaurant management. I really love the look of the site and I was able to obtain all the information that I needed to help me decide if this is something that I would like to try. So, if this type of occupation is something that you would be interested in, then I highly recommend that you check out this site and see exactly why they are the leaders in their field.

The school year is officially underway. Tomorrow my daughter’s grade 4 class will go on their first official field trip. They are going to a nature park to study the habitats of animals. She is so excited and has been getting her stuff ready for about a week now. She keeps reminding us what she needs and what we have to get ready for her. I’m not sure if she is so excited because of the field trip itself, or because she will be out of classes for the day. I will not be attending this particular trip as when I needed to sign up I wasn’t real sure what was taking place with my husband’s mother. But, you can be sure that I’ll be the first parent there on her next trip.

Wow, for the past two weeks, the kids didn’t have very much homework. I guess they were just getting them into the routine of things. Today they both came home with a ton of homework. My daughter is in grade 4 so she can do most of her homework herself, but my son who is in grade 2 needs a help. So with him bring home a lot of homework, this means a lot of homework for me as well. After being involved with the school system for the past 13 years, I still don’t understand why they need to send so much homework home. What on earth do they do during the school day. The kids love school, but if this much homework continues, I can see that they won’t be so thrilled to go. This is what happened towards the end of the school year last year and I’m just hoping that it doesn’t continue into this year.

It is now September. The kids are back in school so it’s time for me to decide what to do with my life. Two different options that I have been considering have been either to go back to work or to go back to school. Although I do have a college diploma, I have been thinking about attending a university and getting a degree in the legal field. So, this is why I have been checking into different universities. I have found a site where I can perform a university search to get as much information as I possibly can that concerns any university. Over at this site, I can check out any college or university to compare information regarding their programs and degrees. You can search information by major, state or degree type. With the large amount of post secondary institutions available now, trying to find the one that is just right for you can be a very stressful task, but with this site you can find one that is right for you in a short amount of time.

Boy, was my daughter ever mad at me last night. She came home from school with a form about track and field. Before I had read the entire letter I told her that I would drive her to where she needed to be to participate in these events. Then I got reading the letter a little closer and realized there was no possible way I could get her to the events on time. She doesn’t arrive home from school until about 3:10pm and she needed to be half an hour away from home at 3:15pm. This is just not possible. I tried to explain it to her why I couldn’t take her, but she just doesn’t understand. I myself don’t understand why the school would schedule an event such as this when it’s not possible to get the child there on time. So, she won’t be able to participate in these events, but I told her that if anything else comes up that she would like to join I will do my best to get her there.

On the first day of school, I seen some children with North Face backpacks. Well I was extremely curious as to where the parents bought these backpacks that of course I just had to ask. They informed me that they purchased them online and then praised the quality and workmanship of the products. So, I did a little checking into the product myself and have decided that they next time my kids need a new backpack, I am going to invest in one of these.

Yesterday my youngest son got off the school bus so excited. He received a “World’s greatest student” trophy from his teacher. He explained that he got this trophy because he answered all of the math questions correct. He was so happy that his teacher liked his work so much that she gave him a trophy. And he gets to keep it!! That’s the major thing that I love about the kids school. All the teacher’s and faculty praise the children so much when they do good work, that it makes the child feel special. This in turn makes the child like school and want to do their very best. This positive reinforcement goes a long way with my children and it is because of little things like awards and trophies that make my kids love going to school and love to learn. I wonder what today will bring??

Well as you all know, yesterday was the first day back to school for the two younger kids and I have to tell you that they both had an awesome day. The both like their teachers and their teachers seem really nice and friendly. My daughter was able to sign up for the choir, drama club and violin so she is extremely happy. My young son was highly impressed that he didn’t have any homework in grade 2, but mom did. He got a massive kick out of this. Because of the school faculty and the bus drivers that they have (same ones from last year), I think this is going to be an awesome year for both of them. I can’t wait to tell you all about their adventures in this new school season.

Well my day started at 5:30 am today. I guess the kids were a little excited about today being the first day of school. Even my young son who wasn’t looking forward to this day was excited. It’s been a long summer and I really think they were ready for their next adventure in life. So, after their breakfast (which they hardly touched) it was time to get them ready. They were ready so soon, that they actually walked around the house for half an hour with their book bags on their backs. Then it was in the car for all of us for the drive to the school. Once I got them all settled in their new classes, it was back in the car by myself. Hopefully they have a great day and they have lots of stories to tell when they get off the school bus later this afternoon. I know I’m really enjoying my day so far. How about you guys?
