Lifes Like That

I am so broke! Honestly I think we are probably in the worst financial position that we have been in years. So I’ve really got to try to come up with some ideas on how to make more money. I suppose I could pick up more hours at work, but that isn’t really something I want to do as I’m not really happy at my job these days. I could always get into a new field such as learning all about reporting engine but that would require more school so more money would have to go out for training. Or I could always try to pick up more Internet work. Who knows. The only thing I do know at this point is I need more money and I really need to find a way to earn more.

Any suggestions?

So for the past month or so I have been looking for different ways to create a little extra income. Well the search really isn’t going as well as I hoped it would. As things stand right now I think for a little while at least I going to have to continue to go to work at the crappy job that I currently have. I really wish I was trained as a cpa raleigh nc but since my education is a bit limited, I guess I’ll be stuck where I’m at for a little while longer. Oh, don’t worry I’m still looking at different avenues for employment, I just haven’t found the right one yet.

So as you’ve all read in my previous post, I was doing some serious deliberations on whether or not to continue at my current job or to look for a new one. Well after discussing the situation with my husband last night, I have made the decision to leave. I have 11 years in the restaurant field but I honestly think that at this point in my life it’s really time to move on. I have decided to go to a grocery store where they use barcode scanners as I do have experience in that area and I really want to continue to work with the public. So now that the decision has been made, I have quite a load taken off my shoulders. Now I’ll just wait until January when the kids go back to school and start applying for a position in a grocery store in my area.

Well I’m still hanging in there with my job. Right now I hate my job and want to look for something else so bad. But it’s really not a good time right now to do that. I really don’t want to go somewhere new and have to start training in the middle of the Christmas shopping season and I really don’t want to lose the extra tips that usually come my way this time of year. So I’m trying to stick out this job until at least the new year. In the new year I’ll have to make some hard decisions. And who knows, maybe my new year’s resolution this year will be to find a new job. I’ll keep you posted!

So things at work have started to pick up which is really good. But a situation has come up that has me really, really considering looking for another job. If I do leave, I don’t think I’ll go back into the restaurant industry but at this point I really don’t know what to do. All I know is that I can’t continue to go on at work as I have been these last couple of weeks. I have the weekend off so I think I’ll look for some more online work like doing articles on costume express coupons and things like that so if I do end up leaving in a hurry I’ll have something to fall back on. I really don’t want to leave, but I can’t see this situation improving any time soon. So wish me luck and I’ll certainly let you all know what my final decision ends up being.

Yes I realize that we are now in a recession and things are bad all across the board, but I have got to tell you all that this is the absolute slowest I’ve ever seen business at my job. It’s times like that that I wish I was trained in Computer Programmer Jobs that way I would have something to fall back on if business doesn’t pick up at work. I’m really hoping that with the holiday season fast approaching, things at work improve greatly. Otherwise, I’m almost certain I will be looking for different employment come the first of the year.

Once again I’m starting to get fed up with my job and am seriously considering looking for new employment. Right now I work in a restaurant as a waitress but between the staff and management I’m really starting to get sick of all the drama. I’ve been thinking about stepping into a new direction such as in the Retail System but have been told that the drama in that sector can be just as bad. So at this point I really don’t know. If they would just let me wait on my customers and do what I do best and leave me alone I wouldn’t even be thinking about not staying. But something has got to change, or else I will end up going somewhere else.

After the shift I put in last night at work, I have decided that I really, really need to find a new job. It’s days like this that I really wish I had of invested in some accredited online degrees and could just pick up and walk out to a better job. But… I didn’t so I guess until I find something similar I’m stuck at where I’m at. If I knew then what I know now, I definitely would have invested in some accredited online degrees and then maybe life wouldn’t be quite so stressful these days.

So once again life got in the way and I didn’t get all my work done this past week. So that means I’ll pretty much be tied to my computer this weekend. I have quite a bit of blogging to finish up with, some articles to write and finish up a transcription project. So I guess I won’t be having a whole lot of fun this weekend.

I hope you all have a great weekend and hopefully this kind of thing won’t happen quite so much to me anymore and I’ll once again get to enjoy my weekends.

I try not to work very much on the weekends. I like to have all my work done by Friday so I can spend the weekends with the family. Well, that didn’t quite work out in my favor this weekend. I didn’t get all my work done on the computer this past week so this weekend I have to spend quite a bit of time working. Oh well, this really doesn’t happen very often so I guess I can deal with it. I have to finish up some articles on pro complex, do quite a bit of blogging and have to start a transcription project. So by the looks of my list, I’m going to spend most of the weekend tied to my computer.
