If any of you guys have any credit cards, then your probably in the same boat as I am. Currently I have three credit cards that I use routinely on a monthly basis. Then at the end of the month I am making high interest payments on all of these cards. But because of the high interest rates associated with each card, I am having a difficult time paying them off.
Last week I got a phone call from my bank about possibly transferring all my credit card balances to a balance transfer card. Well of course this sounded like a great idea, but me being the cautious person that I am, I wanted to check out all the information regarding balance transfer cards that is available to consumers.
I have to tell you that I was highly impressed with site on the Internet that fully explains balance transfer cards as well as other types of credit cards available. From this site, I was able to learn that transferring all my accounts to this one account would enable me to get a lower interest rate which could help me pay off my cards faster as well as save me a pile of money in interest charges. Although I was specifically looking for information regarding balance transfer cards, I was able to also check out a wealth of information concerning regular credit cards, limited credit cards, and cards that offer rewards.
I can tell you that after spending a little bit of time browsing this site, I would probably venture back in there the next time I’m thinking about applying for any type of credit card.

Well I’m happy to report that I survived my first day back to work! It was really busy, but the staff that worked last night all worked with me so we had no major problems. Although not everyone on staff worked last night, I am confident that I will be able to work with the rest of the staff as well.
I was quite nervous going back into the place of employment. Although I had worked their previously for six and a half years, I was expected to go in last night and tell all these kids what to do and hope that they listened to me. I guess one of the good things about working there before was the fact that some of the older staff do know me and I guess praised me up quite a bit to the newer staff. So when I went in they were already prepared to like me based on what the other’s said. So I guess this working for a living may not be too bad.

On Monday both the kids will get their school pictures taken. So this afternoon I will be taking them both to get their haircuts so they will be able to look their best. Plus I have to go get the groceries for next week as well. I really have to wonder if there is ever going to be a day where I can actually call my own and not have to run around the neighborhood for my husband or the kids. Well the good thing about all this constant movement is I really don’t need to invest in any diet pills now do I?
Oh yeah, I also need to go to the department store and purchase myself a new pair of black pants and a new pair of black shoes for when I start work tomorrow. So much to do and so little time. But I swear, one of these days, I am going to take a me day.

About a year and a half a go I had to quit my full time job and become a stay at home mom. The main reason for this was because I no longer had a reliable sitter and at the time, my employer was not able to work around my husband’s hours. Well they are now willing and able to work around his schedule so I don’t need to worry about a babysitter. So Sunday night at five o’clock I am headed back into the workforce.
I have to say that I am a little nervous about this venture as it has been a little while since I’ve been there. And going back into a management position is kind of scaring me a bit as well. I think I’ll be OK though. As long as they don’t make me implement any type of corporate performance management system I’ll be fine. I know it’s just the first day jitters and as soon as I walk into the building, I’ll be fine. Well…at least that’s what I keep telling myself.

Wow! When kids go back to school is doesn’t take very long for the teachers to get them back in to the swing of things now does it? They have only been in school for a little over a week now and have already gotten one violin concert book. Thankfully the concert isn’t until the end of October so it will give the kids a chance to practice up after a long summer of not playing very much. My daughter is so happy that they are getting ready for a concert already. The main reason why she joined violin last year was because of the concerts and performances. So to have one booked right away has really made her day. Now…where are those ear plugs?? (just kidding. I love her playing)

Well my father in law is not officially moved into his new home. He has everything out of his old home and now has it up for sale. He is still settling in to the new home, but it won’t be very long before he has the place set up the way he wants it. Last week he went out and purchased a couple of Air O Swiss humidifiers because of the different type of air that he has to deal with in his new town. But he seems to be really happy where he’s at. All he needs to do now is sell his old home and he will be completely satisfied with life.

This was my son’s very first statement to me when he got off the school bus on Tuesday. This pleased me so…much. My daughter who is in grade 5 this year had my son terrified to enter grade 3. She had told him that ALL the teachers in grade 3 were mean so any teacher he got would be a mean one. Well lets put it this way, he was not quite as excited to go back to school as she was. But no worries, apparently he did not get a mean teacher. Matter of fact, the teacher he did get has never taught at this school so know one knows what she’s like. But apparently she must be very nice for my son to have taken such a strong like of her on the first day. Now he’s happy to go to school and is usually the first one out the door first thing in the morning.
This pleases me as it means that he will probably have a pretty good year this year. And when Daniel likes a teacher he will try even harder to do his best to please her, so this attitude may reflect in his grades as well.

Tammy and over at Mom Knows Everything is having her very first givaway. Loblaws grocery store has given Tammy a basket of food to give away to one of her lucky readers. And if you enter, it could be you. It’s really easy to enter the contest, all you need to do is go here and leave her a comment that you would like to enter. But if you do a post on your blog or blogs that will give you more entries. There is only one catch. You have to be Canadian to enter.
So if your a Canadian and would like the chance to win a basket of food then I highly suggest that you pop on over to Tammy’s site, check out the basket of food and tell her you’d like to enter.
Good luck to all. And yes…I really do mean it.

For the past couple of years my daughter has been bugging me to take horse back riding lessons. I have put her off about this adventure as it does cost a lot of money. But my husband and I were talking about it and now that she is 10 we have decided that we may check into this a little more seriously. It could be worse I guess we could have to pay for a horse, horse supplies, and housing a horse. So when you look at it this way it really isn’t that expensive for lessons. We haven’t told her of our intentions just yet. We want to shop around and compare different prices before we tell her of any decision we have made.
